Prince William, 27-year-old, is planning to get a gundog for Kate Middleton as a Christmas gift.
According to DailyStar report Prince William has asked gamekeepers at Sandringham to find a chocolate labrador from the royal estate’s bloodline as a Christmas present for Kate Middleton. Prince William’s request shows just how Kate has become a top dog with the rest of the Royal Family pack.
Daily Star quoted a royal aide as saying: “He’s hoping she’ll be thrilled. The Queen doesn’t put much faith in people, she prefers animals. So if she’s ready to hand someone a dog it shows how much she really trusts them. Horses and dogs are the only things she ever relies on.”
Prince William and Kate Middleton will spend months apart next year when he transfers to RAF Valley, in Anglesey, North Wales, to train as an air sea rescue pilot. Meanwhile, Kate will be learning portrait photography in New York with some of the best snappers in America.
The aide added: “When she’s home William wanted her to have something to remember him by. And if she is going to be a royal she’d better start loving dogs!”
The prince, second-in-line to throne already has his own black Lab, called Widgeon, who is the grandson of one of the Queen’s favourite dogs, Brae.
