Prince Harry lays a wreath at the Cenotaph on Remembrance Day on behalf of his father Prince Charles for first time ever. Prince of wales with Duchess of Cornwall is in Canada on official visit.
In a decision approved by the Queen herself, Prince Harry will follow her and the Duke of Edinburgh in the ceremony to honour the martyrs. The move is being largely seen as a significant step towards the involvement of the younger Prince in high profile public duties.
The ceremony, in the presence of the Prime Minister and all senior members of the Royal Family, is another sign that the young princes are being groomed to take on more high profile public duties.
25-year-old Prince Harry has been practising wreath laying at St James’s Palace where he shares an office with Prince William.
