According to DailyMail report 24-year-Old Royal Prince Harry set to undertakes his first official royal tour to US in May, next month. Harry will take part in a charity polo match as well as carrying out series of “poignant” engagments.
Harry has never been to the U.S. in an official tour and when he visited Canada with his father in 1998 at the age of 13 was overshadowed by his elder brother, Prince William, who had thousands of teenage girls fans.
British Royal Family is very popular in US, especially the 2 young prince’s who frequently hit front pages of best selling Magazines and Newspapers in US. And the recent visits by the Queen and Prince Charles literally stopped traffic there.
Details of Harry’s tour are still being worked out but the prince will almost certainly play in an exhibition match at the Veuve Clicquot Manhattan Polo Classic on New York’s historic Governors Island on May 30th. Tickets go on sale on May 1 and are expected to sell out within hours. Proceeds from the day which should amount to more than £100,000 will benefit American Friends of Sentebale.
After the match a lavish party will be held at Pink Elephant Nightclub in New York City and Harry is expected to be making an appearance. It is also understood that he will make time to visit several charity projects in the area and hopes to fit in a trip to Ground Zero to pay his respects to the victims of 9/11.
Clarence House declined to comment but a source told the Daily Mail, “The trip is in the early stages of planning but it is hoped Prince Harry will take part in a series of very poignant engagements.”
